Celebrating the city's 800 year history through animation

In 1207 Liverpool was granted the Royal Charter by King John. To celebrate the 800th anniversary of this event, we have created a new web resource where children can animate the city's rich and diverse history.

The website covers various historical eras and includes related clip-art to allow your students to create simple stories through animation. These animations can be used within the context of many existing curriculum areas, for example Art, PHSE, ICT, History or English.

There is a great overview of Liverpool's history on the website including some PowerPoint teaching resources, and we have added instructional videos on how to use the software.
